this week

mother nature is really mad at us ...

in the last seven days --15 inches of snow, a spot of melting and 55 mph winds today...

the winds howled all night

there was a break at dawn -- I dashed to the office 

rolled the phones over 

got more work 

dashed home

spooky

getting a bit tired of the home office 

not enough space

cleaned in between today's projects

side table to hold the totes and other "stuff"

over flowed the side table

I've managed to carry all the finished projects to the truck

just makes for a smoother morning

there are a heap of pictures on my cell phone from the 10" snowfall morning ..

don't care to have that happen again ...

argh.

Marie and her box of work -- sitting at the computer attempting to be productive -- actually tonight I am .. and I was most of the day today.   I try and reserve Sunday's for the monthly write up clients .. they are very patient during tax season -- but Sunday's are reserved for them -- and an appointment or two ... 

more snow today -- more shoveling .. argh.

weekends on Third Street

I can only hope ...

weekends on Third St -- full crew today ... started working at home at 5:05am ... pit stop at the Food Coop for milk and cookies on the inbound ... goofing off at my desk currently ..

robyn and i were chatting at lunch ... i had short Board meeting and she made it to work this morning

she's been hanging out on 3rd street with the rest of the happy people for 10 years ...

not sure if we are "happy people" but I'm trying to be "happy"


I shoveled the pathway from the front of the building to the sidewalk .. and from the parking lot to the front door -- the back deck .. and the entire front sidewalk -- a third of the freeking block.  elder #1 didn't think he could move it ... and once I started I did it all

16 inches in 7 days
the City has yet to pick up a flake ..
I never got the trash to the curb -- there is no curb

so, the chaos continues .. home early Tuesday -- slippery, left the office for home at 11:30am on Thursday -- (thank you technology) .. snow, blowing snow and below zero.  

more snow today -- shoveled the sidewalks twice -- the snow piles are growing taller by the day 

still overwhelmed at times

 Life is spiraling out of control again -- and I think know something has to go -- I've been pondering a lot lately about balance -- life balance.  Sometimes I think too much --

I'm tired and it is February 5th -- I never seem to have the patience to deal with some of my clients and/or the public in general.  I miss my lake time -- it really helped to focus and re-charge my batteries.  During the busy season I don't take time to unplug from the chaos -- I need to learn that skill and practice it regularly. 

I think I need that 1/2 hour of me time.  Thinking about how to implement more time in my day.

. argh .. I know that black cat hates me .... this was revenge for tossing him out in the cold on Tuesday morning.   he is an evil cat.

and he's never NEVER getting in this house again.
