Saturday's on 3rd Street

  well, it should be my 1st Saturday off right?  wrong?  I came to work at 8:00 am ish and I'm still here at 8:00 pm.  I did have a couple of attitude adjustment moments -- does the grocery store count as an attitude adjustment moment?  if so I was there. 

  so today I have typed financial statements, reconciled bank accounts, wrote journal entries, calculated some payroll, prepped and reviewed my own billing (!!) -- reconciled my own bank account!  and ta dahhh ... finished up my own tax return.  ya, mine.

  the weather was not very nice, cloudy and windy so I worked.  it's okay lots of SHIT got done. 

  and there is more to do .. the list is looming ....

 

hence the stupidness

 

I'm sure the Thursday stupidness came from the white crap that fell from the sky.

ya, Ruby's in the garage and Bessie has to sit outside.  I had tossed a rug over the windshield -- didn't work - bad idea

Enough with the whining -- here is the list for the weekend:

1. office projects .. too numerous to type but needless to say there will be an 8 hours stretch to get them done. 
2. haul gas and charge the weed whip battery ...
3. vacuum the sewing room and downstairs bath  .. it's been way to long.
4. make a list of sewing projects and a plan of attack
5. take a run out to the cabin and attempt the "some assembly" required furniture
6. laundry
7. mkto shopping run  make list be efficient

enough to keep me occupied for the weekend.
'tis always good to be me.



 

Venting

I just need to know --- has everyone on the planet taken "stupid pills" today.  wth.  I mean seriously, stupid, as in really stupid and it then projects on to everyone else. 

Get a grip peeps. 

Done venting, no  I don't feel better.  I'm still at work and I'm sure the stupid will re-appear again today.

   I registered and was accepted to be a vendor at the Maker Fair!  October 14th -- Nicollet County Fair Grounds -- me and 35 other vendors with oodles of goodness .... let the stitching begin ....

ah Tuesday, let me count the ways I like Tuesdays ... well, it follows mad Monday -- and this week will not become terrible Tuesday -- government rules my world today ... and every Tuesday

 

Bring on the rain and snow -- will keep me indoors for a couple of days and that is okay -- my sewing machine awaits me -- I still haven't had time to get down there and play!!!!!

Mom, Jean and I had took a trip to the Deep Valley Quilters Show in Mankato, had lunch, drove thru the Ford dealership lot, and got to Shopko -- we filled the Durango with new patio furniture for the cabin -- so we delivered it to the cabin --- and THE WATER IS ON -- it's ready for us!!!!!

 

So this weekend I can go out and put the patio furniture together -- "some assembly required!" 

and well, my "assembly" skills are legendary (not) ...

take me out to the ballgame ...

sometimes the pregame routines are better than the game ...

a lot of empty seats -- and good seats!

in honor/respect of the 1st anniversary of Prince's death -- the stadium was lit up in purple -- and Prince music was the music of the night ...

 

and the bear ... didn't toss us any treats but waved at us ..

we had really nice seats .... a few foul balls headed our direction and yes, we ducked ...

 

State Farm Dave had a busload of St Peterites they were sitting in right field, Cousin Pat and his sister Annie were off to our left somewhere in the upper nosebleed seats ...

 

it was a nice day but when the sun went down -- I was thankful for my long underwear and my fleece blanket ....

 

 

Spent 3 1/2 hours at a Buffer Mandate meeting yesterday -- with some justifiably upset landowners then wandered home and back to work -- keep plugging away on the quarterly payroll reports I want them all done by Monday ... so loaded up a box and a thumb drive and working at home today ... got to "git 'er done" ...

 

 

my crazy life

   I am an introvert (truly!) ... but this week

   I (we) finished up tax season
   did a ton of payroll for clients (and a few Q's)
   celebrated the parents 58th wedding anniversary
   visited an old friend in the hospital ... so glad I went and did that
   celebrated a family friends 66th birthday
   did the client thing
   had County commitments

   and so far worked every night!
   and tonight!

       on of the Scrapbooking Diva's scored TWINS tickets ...
       8th row -- lower level -- directly behind the Twins dugout
       are we lucky or what!

       the clothes and purse are packed and ready to roll!

ps.  after a County gig tomorrow I'm climbing into a cave and not talking to anyone or anything until Monday morning ... laundry, sewing, cleaning at home, mowing the lawn, lake time.....

yep, working on easter morning ... it's been happening for decades so ... it is the way .. I didn't get here until 6:30 ... frankly it felt good.  did a bit of tidying before I left the farm.  trying to decide if I am actually coming back to work after dinner ... probably ...

did a spot of tidying here in my cave/cell/hole in the wall office.  I'm looking forward to working on something other than the daily drama of income tax returns.

    Taking a look at the project box and prioritizing today.  Get done, don't get done.  That's all I can do.

I shared this picture on wastebook this morning -- me, Jean and Grandpa for "Siblings Day" .. oh the memories -- as I blogged earlier Friday would have been his 110th birthday --

I'm tired and well, weepy tonight -- sometimes I miss the simplicity of youth -- and every now and then a picture crops up and well -- just well. 

Back to the daily grind of my life.  Another set of numbers another freeking income tax return -- the late ones are setting me on edge.  It's life.  I know it, expect it and complain about it every year.

the bad days are stacking up around here -- lots of panic, lots of stupid . (us and clients), lots of chaos, lots of everything nasty ...

and then I worked on  D & D's income tax return -- retired husband and spouse -- D2 (spouse) has suffered from some type of early onset dementia, alzheimers, whatever -- since age 57 has been a resident of a memory care facility -- going on 6 years .....

I and the rest of us -- need to count our blessings - I am thankful and grateful for all of the blessings bestowed to me.
