whip cream with a dollop of raspberry jello on the side

I have to admit -- the white chocolate instant pudding is pretty good -- with a large dollop of whip cream and a shot of caramel or chocolate sauce .. 

we dashed to mankato and did errands late this afternoon -- searching for decent looking geraniums -- no luck ... but menards, goodwill (delivery/deposit), hyvee, kohls (returns) and take out panera for supper --it was a fast 90 minute trip ... 

-- I got the broccoli cheese soup -- dunked the buttered baguette in it .. and managed to get it down without a lot of unnecessary drama -- food

Friday night lawn mowing attire -- complete with a flag t shirt and pink "leader of the shit show" hat .. it was a memorable sight -- but 2 1/2 hours of grass cutting got a lot done -- did another 2 hours this afternoon -- about an hour to go and I'm done for a couple of days ...

 

plans -- changing plans

my plan last night was to spend a couple hours on this beast ... well -- during supper it started to rain -- a) wet grass doesn't mow well and b) the gnats/skeeters and no see'ums would have been horrendous .. so plan B

not my actual closet -- my closet was this bad -- but no tennis racket :)   

I tackled closet cleaning -- down came the summer clothes and into storage the winter clothes  -- post purge .. 5 bags of purge ... the purge includes other things -- 4 for donation and 1 for trash ..

a spot more tonight and then I am done -- I envy the people with a limited a capsule wardrobe -- I just really like clothes -- and I am a clothes hoarder .. at least I think I am .. I probably could blame it all on a small closet?  maybe?  

dentist adventures continue -- the healing on the extraction site is going well -- 2 more weeks of soft foods and lots of "care" .. I'm dying for a crunchy chip/cookie/ biscotti/chicken strip .. taco, lettuce/slaw blend .. you name it .. HOT COFFEE -- 

and 2 fillings yesterday -- I'll own the dental office by the time they are done with me .. only 1 advil yesterday ... so .....

tonight will be continued purge -- and storage of the always important winter undergarments :)  I'm babying my silk and micro fiber long underwear as long as I own them

it wasn't windy -- or the gales of november weren't blowing -- cool, sunny, clouds and the always glorious sunsets of Maple Drive ...

I lose things - a lot

I lost my prescription sunglasses -- I know I was searching before we left for Canada .. and well, I found them this morning.  I was pulling out an assortment of 31 bags for our trip to the cabin -- because even when you're 10 miles away -- they entire freeking house needs to be packed for a 24 hour visit .. I digress

I was packing yarn into a 31 square tote for a future project and spied my sunnies in the outside pocket -- no happy dance just a grin 

and there is no snow -- that's the background pix on my cheep, but lovely, laptop

 

end of day 7 ..

self care is important and I need to keep reminding myself to care for self ... so tonight it is laundry, reading catchup = 10 county downloads to peruse .. and maybe a spot of tv ( it's running in the background) 

end of day 7 post tooth extraction -- this is one weird thing ... yesterday things were feeling wacky so I called down to the dentist office ( the st p office ) and had them take a peek at it -- all is well -- it is weird -- the "cadaver bone graft" gizmo is doing it's job ... I took my last horse pill antibiotic with supper .. 3 weeks of drugs over the last 6 weeks ... god willing I'm done with that shit for a while .. hate swallowing pills ... these went down chopped up and greased with whip cream .. it was the only way

I had "food" for supper tonight -- over cooked chix noodle hotdish -- jello ( more whipped cream ) and a deviled egg ... a positive in the last week -- weight loss ...

another day of county meetings, client meetings, less phone calls, but a zillion emails.  it never seems to end .. trying to tame the chaos is sometimes creating more chaos -- 

and it was still raining on the outbound ( and is raining now )  3+ at the farm, 4+ at the cabin -- it's wet but it was needed I can hear the soybeans and corn popping out of the ground -- some warmth would be wonderful ...

lawn mowing, mnpr prep, laundry -- dashed to the cabin and not it's time to gather thoughts and go to bed

day 4 after extraction seems to be going well -- only 2 advil today ..

I spied this clump of mushrooms while mowing and walked back this evening for a pix .. damn gnats -- almost carried me away .. 

mom's allium has a double bloom this year - a first

 

just because

mowing the lawn in a winter coat, hat and gloves ... argh

I managed to:

1.    go to the office and finish a project

2.    rescue the flowers to the garage

3.    stop at the grocery store for more soft foods

4.    mow 1/2 the lawn

and I need a nap

only 3 advil today 

rinsing and spitting salt water hourly (ish)

I watched "The Quilters" on Netflix last night .. 

I need to go back to that list system -- I get more done -- laptop is out and the list making is about to commence .. finally warmed up -- hot shower ... always works.

I had a tooth pulled today -- kind of a surreal experience ... home and back in less than 2 hours ... I chose the option of sedation -- seriously who wants to hear, see or feel any of that .. 

a little tender this evening -- sedation -- no side affects .. 

had a couple naps - haven't had a pain pill yet -- 

it's a weird gig

implanted "cadaver" bone in preparation for the "implant" in September .. 

 

Saturday's

I got home from the office yesterday (yes, I work Saturday's until we are totally caught up - a lot of doctor appointments, county commitments have wreaked havoc on the work time) .. I digress, home, grabbed Mom, clothes, stopped at the grocery store and arrived at the cabin.

Attempted to scrub the porch furniture (again) .. vac'd all the floors, updated some stuff on my laptop and worked!  (MNPR's) lots of MNPR's 

Supper was the always tasty - leftover chicken hotdish with salad and berries .. 

Breakfast -- waffles with more berries and working on lunch plans its either 

a) breakfast pizza or b) turkey sandwiches, chips, salad and more berries!

HyVee had pretty good looking fruit yesterday :)  I'm showered, dressed and surfing the internet -- Mom is sleeping in her chair -- the Pioneer Woman is cooking away on TV ... 

next up is plan my week and get some more MNPR's done and maybe sew -- I brought some fabric with me and I might need to play ..

I scored $10 boston ferns at the uptown HyVee Tuesday night -- 3 fit in Ruby's trunk quite well ... got lucky there ..

me and Ruby on the inbound Tuesday morning .. missed her ( pre car wash ) it was a dusty mess

and we have a dock -- in the water of the lake

it's quite the process 

never a bad view out here ...

1.    Ruby started !
2.    Mom's golf cart started and got moved 
3.    SxS started and moved out of the way
4.    Lawnmower started and I mowed 1/3 of the grass ..

it was a great late afternoon ...

and since I'm on a roll ... this week ..

1.    Sweep house garage
2.    Sweep out showroom
3.    Gas in truck & wash
4.    Wash Ruby and drive her!
5.    Finish mowing the lawn
6.    Work up the zinnia beds and plant them

7.    Sweep office garages
8.    Recycling and shred week
9.    Wash and store the winter coats
10   Wash windows at farm and put on the screens

and all the normal stuff !    
hello summer 

sun, warmth, weekend

I never get tired of this view -- ever ... 

finally some sun and warmth -- treats, horse race, supper, work time and some book reading time .. I did manage to wipe down the porch furniture -- quickly -- will give them another pass tomorrow .. and then it's on to the floors ... always the floors, floors everywhere

spent the morning at the office - trying to get caught up after being a road warrior last week  -- only one doctor appointment this week -- post MRI .. 

while the elder was having her MRI -- I dashed to Joann Fabric -- that is an epic shit show .. makes me look like the organized diva -- holy cow -- what a mess -- I did score a large rotary cutting mat and an ott light, planter for my succulents and two things of yarn .. the yarn wasn't marked very well so I was cautiously winging it .. frankly I don't need any more yarn ( ever ) .. 

tomorrow is more of the same 

but no horse race ... 

man that was one muddy racetrack -- the horses needed a good power washing after that mud bath ... amazing no one slipped or got hurt .. 

and so we roll

the crazy life I lead continues

5 days of doctor appointments for mom --- Tuesday was local ( she drove herself ), Wednesday - MaryBeth took her -- Mon, Thur & Friday is I ... this morning she overslept and I had to get her out of bed to roll .. I went to the office at 5:00 -- and at 7:00 .. I'm rolling her out for an 8:00 appointment

Wednesday was a seminar -- just two hours -- "social media influencers" and their tax consequences .. different 

Wednesday was supper at the cabin -- clouds .. and once we got home the sunset was glorious -- 

Tuesday the Maytag repairman arrived -- laundry is perking along again 

Mustang is next ... worked on that this afternoon :)

wednesday was also denim day -- I actually wore "pants" .. it's been a week of sweatpants and joggers .. gotta be comfy

evidently the salad bar buffet was open - Tuesday night

and MC came to visit on Tuesday night -- fun stuff -- she's 8 days old today -- been visiting and went to Target -- my kind of girl !!!
