Tuesday Afternoon -- I came home at 3:00pm

Wednesday Morning--- while cooking breakfast at 7:30

still on the meds -- nasty things 

4:00 Wednesday afternoon -- I came home early today also 

quiet at the office ....

cold at the office

I was tired and cranky

rolled the phones to my cell and packed a box of work

another day ....

ear infections

so my day started out at the Urgent Clinic -- drugs ... no lecture, just prescriptions

off to the office to load up a box of homework ...

off to Shopko to fill said prescription -- shopped while waiting for the pharmacy to open -- and pharmacy couldn't fill the prescription -- they didn't have enough pills ... transferred me and all my drugs to Econo ...

off to Econo to get said prescription -- wth -- the holy run around for antibiotics

and oh .. a blizzard on the way ... and then the freeking deep freeze.


my box of work is mostly done ... mostly
I've re-arranged my Monday schedule ...
I've got warm clothes washed and ready to wear!!!!
and I got a haircut Saturday -- life is challenging but good!

what the hell.

Mother Nature - you've become one evil woman ... seriously ... you're going to dump a bunch of white shit on us and then it's not going to get above zero for 5 freeking days.  ugly.

      stop 1: target - return jeans and sweater -- one does fit my lower end
      stop 2: kohls - return ugly jammies -- wander thru store find quilted vest/tshirt
      stop 3: panera - pick up a dozen bagels to go

9:45 - back at my desk

10:15 managed to goof off for 30 minutes at office

need to hop to it!!!!

Random Friday

I left the office at 4:30 ... with homework (what else) ... made it home in time to see the show of cardinals -- and did they put on a show .... my camera batteries were dying -- but this shot was one of the best

yikes, I have a bad case of the IDGAS (I don't give a shit) or Blahs.  IDGAS is probably the best description.  Need to get over them quick.  I don't have time for the IDGAS.  

Although only 1 client's w2's to go and a whole heap of 1099's -- I give them deadlines to submit their information and well, some of us like to procrastinate -- and really procrastinate.  I have a few income tax returns ready to roll -- waiting on the ability to "efile" and print certain forms.

Government shut down is not helping.

Actually for a Monday it just wasn't all that bad of a day.  I'm still at work and that is normal.  A lot of odd things were completed today - which is a good thing.


I wrapped Girls Weekend by piecing a throw from a layer cake -- simple piecing doesn't take long -- I just sew and try not to over think the color layout.

I decided on the fix for an oops -- squared up another throw and selected the binding from my stash ...

and I worked 5 hours at the office.  It was a good weekend.  Tired, but good.

therapy happened after I left work at 1:30 today ... the first table topper got bound ... I wasn't sure about the orange/sherbet binding but I like it ...

this throw is going to a family friend who is having some health issues and spending some time at the nursing home -- always need pretty things while healing

I've been prepping quilts and tops since Thanksgiving -- I knew binding would be on my agenda -- the top of the pile is the crib quilt with the cool background -- loving the pop of the black/white strip binding

    300 w2's all printed nice and tidy -- until I realized they all had the same State EIN on them ... and they were 30 different SEIN's ... called software support --

    save me, my friends in India are working on it .... 6 emails post telephone conference --- save me ... I'm drowning in poo....

Computer dude due in this evening -- upgrades to Kevin's computer, a new fancy schmancy router with some fun frills -- and a whole lotta security -- and then the front desk network card took a dump this morning.  wth. 

My 20 year old HP laserjet printer finally took it's last breath yesterday -- she was a workhorse -- I can begin to fathom how many pages it printed in 20 years. 

So, the shit show will continue -- computer dude, meeting in Mankato -- at the same time. 

Looking forward to Diva Weekend -- tick tock tick tock ....

I've been thinking too much lately -- reflective thoughts -- and this was in Harvey Mac Kay's weekly column -- reflective thoughts.

the sunshine returned (and 45') ... I propped open the various window coverings in my office to let in the sun -- no so sure the WCW statute should be a curtain tieback -- but it was handy ... I do have a larger crib quilt hanging on the long arm rails for the window on the left ... it too is rather colorful.

the glorious Friday morning sunrise -- it was spectacular

and Saturday night at 7:00 pm ( a washed out phone shot)  -- just before I was going to call it a day -- I had the most productive day yesterday and I hope to carry it forward to everyday this week ... it was amazing to take down the Christmas roping in 47' and NO coat --- alas it was a 5 minute gig.

today's agenda is printing W2's, prepping 1099's for printing, and some regular number crunching!

Thursday nights on 3rd

   pretty quiet here on 3rd Street this evening ... me, the TV and a couple of computer monitors!   I've managed to drive myself nuts today.  enough said.  tomorrow will be better.

  a lot of work is getting finished -- it just doesn't feel like work is getting done quickly -- but I got this  -- it will get done.

  actually most of America is still in bed ...  and it's still freaking dark.

  since it was a wild night on Daisy Lane --( never ) -- all had retired for the night by 9:30 -- it's an old people thing -- I digress -- and since I was wide awake at 5:00 am -- so I headed to the long arm (and the laundry pile) ...

  one throw quilted -- one thread break early in the process so I slowed down the speed -- and it was easy peasy and done -- I had prepped last night -- made the back, pressed the top -- had it all hanging on the rails over night. 

  I have 4 tops pieced from layer cakes -- my goal is to have all of them quilted in the next 10 days -- the Diva's have a crafty weekend planned.  My projects will be binding, binding, binding --

I pieced a "franken" batting together and used up quite a bit of odd sized batting chunks

no idea what to use for backing -- might be solid teals .. I have a lot of solid teal and aqua in the stash and I'm only using stash fabrics for backing (insert grin) 

I'm going to cut batting this evening -- 3 of them are the same size -- opening up my new box of 108" batting ... muscling that should be entertaining.

I listed my APQ Challenge projects in a sidebar blurp -- need to keep focused and on track ....

Happy New Year
