crazy busy life

argh - life is out of control busy -- and the days are running together .. faster than a speeding turtle

I think we're staying caught up at the office .. the piles are heaping -- the to do and the done

49 days and 48 nights to go ... this too shall pass

I noticed this morning on the inbound -- it was cracking daylight at 6:05 .. 

the 4:00am starts are my new normal 

3 years ago today we lost Dad

seems like both yesterday and a decade ago 

 

Sunday road trip

another crazy day in my world

4:00am  -- start a load of laundry, a cup of coffee and a cookie .. 

        read 2 newspapers, and the obits

5:00am  -- start a mini nap

7:00am  -- on the road for the office -- gas in Jeep, milk for Marie, Jeep thru car wash

   

    trash, recycling, cardboard stashing, tax returns, payroll, vac'ing office, tossing stuff out, more tax returns -- weird stuff .... transplanted two plants -- aired out the garage .. 

3:00pm -- leave office for home -- always have tote bag of work

3:15 - road trip to the cabin for attitude adustment

4:00 - another load of laundry and a disorganized farm client

5:30 -- pizza .... 
6:00 -- back to cave and disorganized farm client -- finally got it to reconcile

8:30 -- upstairs to the laptop and what not

I'm ready for bed.

the neighbors paddle boat looks kind of funny in the snow .. the finish contest was happening at the public landing so there was a bit of ATV SXS traffic on the ice .. evidently touring the lake on your ATV and not falling in is fun .. argh.

I think she misses us .. snow drifts across the back and the front -- but mushy and melting didn't spot any critter "treats" - always a good thing. 51' on the thermometer (in the living room) ... we leave the heat on -- set at 50'

lilies, liatris, bird of paradise, bells of Ireland, roses, cabbage, snapdragons, digitalis, bromiliads -- and a variety of greens .. they were at least 3' tall and 4' wide .. had to be heavy .. 

but simply stunning ..

it's time for bed ... I rolled for town at 5:15 .. I had messed up on a payroll Monday night before leaving so I needed quiet to fix it .. 

I think we're about to get bombed with work .. it's been remarkably slow .. not sure what's up -- but documents are slow ... 

 

February 1st .. already

 

I can't tell you when I took this picture -- November 2022 -- anyway I digress -- see the giant post it hanging on my door -- that's one of my planners -- it's large enough to see from a distance ...  I am a creature of habit -- I update it weekly -- faithfully update it ... always update it -- I'm lost without out it .. sometimes it's a scrum board ...

and this morning's update - I forgot Wednesday .. again .. all winter long I keep getting midweek days mixed up .. argh .. literally forgot Wednesday ..

the OCD in me fixed it ...

left the office early for Cousin Fred's wake .. no where to park, went to kwik trip for the basics in life and then parked on the street and walked down ... 

75 minutes later I was thru the line and when I left the line was out the door and they were still circling and looking for parking spaces .. it was a wonderful sea of people -- the boys were overwhelmed -- a lot of love was shared ... 

so the homework and I are having a love / hate relationship this evening.  i worked on the disjointed mixed up client all morning long .. literally -- office tidying -- snow shoveled - or most of it .. 

I am about to start prepping for the cleaning lady -- because we clean before she comes 

argh.
