picking, packing & loading .... ready set go

picked and ready to load up -- i didn't leave any "driving" paths in the patch ...

a bit fuzzy (and out of sequence) ... squeezing it all in ... hopefully I don't lose any of it rolling down the road .. on the commute home last week my tailgate opened up and well -- there was a smashed melon on north 3rd street ... hear nothing, see nothing, say nothing

4 pails of apples .... need the picker to reach the tall ones

I went out to take a picture of every variety and well shot 76 pictures ... kinda fun -- just kept clicking ... tomorrow will be zinna day!

newest obsession ..

the fuzzzy version of my basket of yarns...so far it's all been less than $2 a skein? if that's what you call the prepacked globs of yarn

my spiffy "on the go basket" -- it's really an insulated lunch bag -- but it was cheep and I liked the print!

okay I'm finding that a little time spent with a crochet hook and some yarn is really relaxing.  the Quist girls said they could teach me to knit.  (they are my market neighbors) .. time will tell ...

so in the "big" garden today I sprayed the outside rows, all of the pumkins and squash for deer ... 4 gallons and $28 later -- hopefully it slows 'em down ... actually with all the shooting going on -- they have slowed down .. lots of drama over the birds --

so far the holiday weekend has been a workfest -- picked for market, farmers market, cleaned in basement, cleaned upstairs, worked at office -- did a boatload of payroll, cleaned at office, came home and gardened, went back to the office and worked some more -- mowed the lawn at the office -- emptied all the trash --- worked some more ... sprayed some more ... I'm TIRED .... oh and there was 8 loads of laundry over two of the three days.....

enough of the whining -- thanks for listening!

mom and I went for a little ride this afternoon -- this is our tower ... but we're 7 miles a way -- directly across the valley ... somewhere below in the mass of trees is us....

   i'm doing a crappy job holding it all together this week ... the balance act is teetering .... 

my office is flippin disaster ... 1/2 ready for paint.  the project list got waaaaay to large yesterday.  the irs letters rolled in (oh joy!) ... and well, I can't fix STUPID. 

the garden is getting ate -- neighbor Tom offered to string electric fence ... might need to take him up on that .... the geese are fun to watch (Tom's hunting) ...

a client shared 4 fabulous TWINS tickets with me .... hoping for a fabulous fall day and some good baseball -- I haven't seen Target Field -- so I was tickled pink when they offered them to me !!!

it's been dripping all day long -- not a lot or rain but a drip ... soaking in and doing good!

more fabulous zinnas -- I really really like my zinnas -- amid the gnawing by the wildlife the zinnas always make me smile.
