Okay, so this is a less than mature buttercup "sweet mama" to be precise. But I picked an entire bushel of carnivals today for market tomorrow. The rest of them are lagging behind. Just like everything else.
A lot more sunshine and heat is needed to make the squash ripen...although the cool nights are turning the pumpkins orange. Lovely pumpkins in the patch. So time will tell.
